An Ambient Moodcast

Got a wonderful treat for you ambient fans, I was given the privilege of hosting a podcast showcasing my favorite picks from Moodgadget’s ambient releases, past, present and future.  It was up exclusively on ISO50 this past Friday, and it will be released on iTunes and/or through soon.  I had been working on a few playlists containing music I thought adheres to certain themes over the past few months– a dancefloor-oriented playlist, a hip-hop-oriented one, a pop/indie-folk one, and the one you are listening to now, an ambient one.  I think this playlist shows a great cross section of Moodgadget’s ambient catalogue:

Entsounds – The Winding Sun (Arc Edit) – Expanse At Low Levels
Praveen – Tour Around This House – Expanse At Low Levels
Shigeto – May – New Crossings
Calmer – Open Source – Past Is Present EP
A Setting Sun – Views From The Real World – Empty Sound
Viul – Wound Cotton Wound – Summer’s Wet Work Is Done
Tstewart – What’s This Color? – No New Enemies, Vol. 1
A Setting Sun & Shigeto – Polaroid Romance – Table For Two
Kyle Bobby Dunn – Mobiles (There is No End) (Exerpt) – Fervency EP
Tokyo Bloodworm – Found Memories of Nature – The Rorschach Suite
Entsounds – Dormancy – Growth EP

These tracks are great to relax, medidate or fall asleep to, or to help create a calm, stress-free work environment, or as a simple escape from the everyday grind.  My intention was to keep narration as minimally invasive as possible, so it’s brief and low-key, hopefully not getting in the way of your listening experience.  I hope you enjoy!
