Happy BDay Frank Lloyd Wright!
Today is the birthday of the legendary American architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. Few words can describe just how important his contribution to modern architecture has been. One of these days, I should make my way out to see Fallingwater, what may be his most iconic work, out in Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania. I have been in Beth Sholom Synagogue in nearby Elkins Park, it’s truly a marvel to behold, regardless of religious views. In the meantime, make sure you have a look at some of his buildings or biography, there are plenty of to check out. It’s amazing to think that his work essentially front-ended the era of mid-century modernism, and is still being incorporated into all forms of design today.
