I’ve been slacking on design post content on Blog.H34 outside of my own stuff recently, and finding good album covers especially has been almost a lost cause, but I just read on Wanken about Brian Gossett‘s Heist series of mixes and was blown away.  As a huge fan of themed mixes, visual consistency across releases, bokeh photography, and clean, minimalistic typography, it’s no surprise that I had to pick my jaw up off the floor after seeing these.  The concept is intriguing, each mix is themed after everyone’s favorite heist movies, sly and refined, as stylish to the ear as they are to the eye, alternating between choice cuts of classic and indie rock, smokey lounge tunes and funky jazz selections.  Rather than try and re-host or re-link the mixes, I am just going to highly recommend you go over and check all of the mixes out, pick a city that intrigues you, and press play.

Brian’s site itself is filled with great project work to check out, so if you’re liking the style, this well-accomplished designer, illustrator, art director and currently, professor, has a lot to be proud of!
