Stimming, Pezzner, Hermanez, Leoesco
Alright, it’s been very quiet around here. To break the long silence, here are some long-overdue deep house tracks for you to shovel snow to…they could help put a little bit of extra elbow grease in your efforts to brave the storm. My absence can be attributed in part to being in NYC for a few days after the weekend. I will go into more detail when I post up some new tracks from Moodgadget coming out. Anyway, without any further delay, here’s what’s hot and fresh in deep house.

Earlier this month, my rabid hunger for this track was finally satiated. has been cutting some of the most driving deep tracks I’ve ever heard, and this one really got me going when I heard it on the Freerange podcast a couple months back. The kick drums in this are incredible, and then the melody finally rolls forth, the two combine in amazing ways that just have to get a reaction from listeners…usually evokes that pseudo-dancing sort of whole body bob a-la Night at the Roxbury.
Colette – Think You Want It (Pezzner Remix)

Thank God for remixes, he just knows how to craft a dance floor tune with mass appeal without comprimising anything. Regardless of the genre it’s sourced from (from IDM to Progressive House), every time I hear a Pezzner track or remix, I’ve been pretty impressed. This takes house vocalist ‘s voice and trips it out with a thick and deep low-end, really a good one to keep things moving.
Groove Garcia, Edu Imbernon – Missing Berlin From Spain (Hermanez Remix)

This track has a pretty deep kick that drew me in very quickly, I am also liking the snare drums in the beat, you don’t usually hear them so dry (or is it wet?). This remix by Hermanez goes deep and cavernous at points, a bit darker, no wonder it appears on a compilation from Noir Music called Dark Stars Vol. 3.
Leoesco – We Can Save It (Harold Heath Re Rub)

I came across this track by Leoesco on Beatport, it was one of the just-released ones about a week ago, and the sample, which contained the sick drop at 4:22, made me hit the Buy button almost instantaneously. In retrospect, I guess the track isn’t quite as hype, but still good nontheless. I am a sucker for that type of melody in the drop, so I would spin it just to see people react to it.
