DJ Kôze, Isolee, Dntel, Louis La Roche
Alright, today I’m serving up a mixed salad of grooves and sounds, there’s no real way to try and link these guys up under a consistent theme or genre, just a few songs that have caught my ear and found themselves on constant repeat all week.

In light of obtaining 6,000 fans on facebook, Ghostly is slipping a few goodies to their fans, including a previously limited compilation called Break-A-Way-Planets. On that release is this killer remix of ‘s Elementary Lovers by everyone’s favorite techno wildman, . The original track is very syncopated, while the beat here isn’t exactly 4/4 or two-step, it’s more cohesive, and when paired with Kôze’s production approach, which mixes screwy with sophisticated, the result sounds like a vintage-faded dream of opulent quirkiness.
Osborne – Daylight (Pyjama Mix by Isolee)

I got a frantic text message from Mogi Grumbles this past weekend, who was DJ’ing live and had been looking for the original version of this track by . While I didn’t have it, I did come across this remix did. The track is sort of a classic, having come out in 2003, but whatever. I am a pretty big fan on Isolee’s approach to remixing, although I haven’t heard more than a handful. I’ll need to look deeper and see what he’s been up to recently.
Dntel – Anywhere Anyone

Speaking of classics, Jakub recently posted this old one from , which came out in 2001, while discussing what got him obsessed with electronic music. I wear my appreciation for this sort of vocal on my sleeve around here, but the way the vocal interacts with the dijointed, echoing synth stab is what seals the deal. Specifically, the “I love you” part melts my heart. This track feels like it could serve as the cooldown track in a lovestep set.
Louis La Roche – Prick Stick

Finally, a track by Louis La Roche, this is a nu-disco/french house track out of left field for today, that harkens to what we all love about the genre. Of course, we might find ourselves expecting some cute little white girl to step in and drop 16 bars like a thug, as is heard in so many other tracks nowadays…not that there’s anything wrong with that. If anything it’s nice to have a reminder of why we got into french house in the first place: the horns, the bass, the beat…the groove.
