Von Braun on Mars in ’82
Did a little cruising around looking for aspects of science and science fiction that inspire me, after reading Alex Cornell’s self-kidnapping hoax post, which details his simulated abduction on YouTube by a shadowy mega corporation called Aeolas, which as you can imagine if you know of Cornell’s work, has design and branding that trumps most of the actual mega corporations operating out there.
I came across this beautiful imagery and an astounding summary on Hyperbola (part of Flightglobal blogs), of legendary rocket scientist Wernher Von Braun‘s plan for a manned mission to the planet Mars, along with an aggressive colonization schedule that would have taken place by 1992. These images give a face to those futuristic plans, and make good use of Futura while they’re at it…
