Axel Boman dropped one of the hottest tracks of last year, and it completely slipped under my radar. I actually had a different track off this EP when it first came out, don’t know how I missed this one. I have been very anti-vocal recently, but I actually love how it’s used in this track. Just goes to show you can use a vocal sample in some crazy ways, but it’s easy to ruin the track, so you need to do it like this guy is doing it.
Greg Paulus – Yellow Sky – Nightime EP

That’s not to be confused with genuine vocal quality, such as that of , who just released the Nightime EP. This track was also featured on the wildly popular Wolf + Lamb Vs. Soul Clap DJ Kicks Exclusive, I love the cover so I posted it up above. It’s great to see how Greg is quickly becoming a definitive character in what will be the story of house music in the 2010’s. Destined for greatness kind of shit.

If I see and on the same page together, you know I’m going to be into it. Well, turns out, at one point these two cats got together and blended that Motor City RnB with upbeat electronic dancefloor rhythm. Well, there have been a couple remix EPs released, and among them, I really got into this one for some reason. I really love those futuristic pads that accent the heavy kick and soulful croon, it’s all thanks to ‘s reworking of the track.
Theo Parrish – Slowly Surely (Jill Scott Edit) – Ugly Edits

is essential listening if you want to know about the story of house music I mentioned above. He’s a shining example of someone who was there from the start and continues to be a central, core character, in the story that has unfolded over the years. Well, here’s a really rare “Ugly Edit” I found of his, it’s got , who turns all of us into babies with her impeccable voice. It’s a long and rewarding track for the patient ones.
