I was fortunate enough to be a part of a very cool project by friend and Moodgadget label mate Mogi Grumbles. The above is the cover art I created for End of Line, a 100% original re-score to the original Tron film from 1981. It doesn’t use any samples from the movie, just pure musical inspiration and talent. A re-cut of the film with the new score was also released, be sure to check it out if you have been meaning to revisit the original film, which even after 30 years is staggeringly beautiful and inspiring. I myself aimed to convey the pragmatic approach employed by the original film’s creators to render out a fantasy scene that lays wholly outside our familiar plane of existence. The entire album cover project was practically finished by the time I finished my first listen-through. Gotta love that kind of synergy in a project. Oh yeah, and the re-score will be out on Moodgadget this summer, but for now it’s listed as a name-your-price at the Mogi Grumbles mini-site. Enjoy!
