Agnès, Homework, 6th Borough Project, Mark E
Tons of great stuff coming out this summer, it’s a shame that my Recently Added folder in iTunes is almost empty, which is quite rare for me. I feel like I’m missing some key releases– or is it really just kind of dry right now? Well, I’ve been keeping my eye on a few of these house music releases, waiting for them to come out for a while, check em out.

Last month I had discovered this track on Iron Curtis‘ guest mix of the Freerange Podcast, and I was obsessed, I even had to rip the Youtube 128k sound so I could have something just to listen to. Well, it’s finally out on his new Hudd Traxx release, Got That Music In My Mind. A solid EP with some of that good old classic underground shit, deep and dirty.
Round Table Knights – Say What! (Homework Remix) – Say What!

have been slaying it this year, and I couldn’t be happier for em. While we wait on another EP as solid as their last one (blogged here), fans can keep an eye on their mixes and charts, as well as the few remixes of theirs that have been popping up. I love this one they did with Round Table Knights, it’s no wonder a couple of knights would take notice of all the aforementioned slaying going on and want a piece of the action. I’d love to rock this one on the way to the beach with the top down, the summertime vibes are in full effect.
6th Borough Project – If The Feeling’s Right – One Night In The Borough

I’ve been a big fan of for a good while now, as well, as readers may well know. Their new full-length is essential summer dancefloor material, I feel like ideally, it’s meant for the rooftop. It’s filled with accents that wax New York high-life during the days of disco, with slices of funk, slow-disco, and the deep house that sprouted forth from that in the years to follow. I got a bit confused about this release as it was coming out all spring in 3 parts, with the full-length being released after. Either way, the project’s art direction is exceptional in my opinion, a departure from Delusions’ usual release template, a solid and collection-worthy physical that’s on my want-list.
Mark E – Special FX – The Day (single)

‘s new release on Spectral Sound, Stone Breaker, surprised me for sure. While the music was still solid and surely Mark E, it felt like a real departure from the sample-heavier edit work I know him so well for. It seems like the folks at Ghostly acknowledge that with the release of The Day, a new single that continues the “shell-breaking” but not without throwing the ole dog a bone. This re-worked version of Special FX (original version posted here) had me smiling with guilt, I really do prefer this stuff. Is it not permissible to be a sampler if you are a damn good sampler?
